Businesses certified through LAVETBIZ can receive up to 10% evaluation points when bidding on contracts through the state of Louisiana.

To be eligible, business must :

  • Be more than 50% owned by a Veteran or a Service-Connected Disabled Veteran.

  • Be independently owned and operated and not dominate its field of operations.

  • Be owned by and have officers who are citizens and legal residents of the US and all are domiciled within Louisiana.

  • Have fewer than 50 full time employees and gross less than $5million/year in construction or $3million/year in non-construction industries

  • Owner must be able to provide DD214 upon request.
