Delaware Executive Order 29: amends Executive Order 14 in regards to supplier diversity:
Executive Order 14 challenged Delaware to include more minority and women-owned businesses in state contracts and provided the authority to appoint a council to oversee the implementation of the order. Executive Order 29 expanded this to include veteran owned and service-disabled veteran owned businesses. This Executive Order also provided for the inclusion of a veteran business owner on the same council.
Delaware also has a Veteran Trust Fund established to assist honorably discharged Veterans. Honorably discharged Veterans can petition this trust to obtain emergency financial assistance related to health care, homelessness, household utilities, home repair, and education.
